Applications

Raman Spectroscopy has been gaining increasing attention as the analytical technique of choice for its rapid, non-invasive and non-destructive nature of analysis. It can complement (or at times replace) traditional methods of analyses like Infrared, Gas Chromatography, XRD and wet chemistry.

The application areas stretch from traditional industrial applications like raw-material ID and quantification of components in a mixture, to more eclectic applications like distinguishing between fake and real diamonds. Techniques like surface enhanced Raman scattering have extended the reach of Raman to quantification of trace levels of components, which traditionally was outside the scope of conventional Raman.

We list here some applications that RSI has been involved in. This list is updated very regularly, as we increase our customer base, and hence our application interests. If you have a novel application, or would like to list your application here, please contact us.

We also provide a list of papers which our applications experts have published over the years. Please contact us if you would like a copy.
